Bespoke Fireplaces

Bespoke fireplace designer Ian Knapper has built a team of craftsmen who all share in his passion to create masterpieces of beauty and distinction. The time, energy and attention to detail devoted to every stage of the process makes it such a unique and personal service to the client.

The Ian Knapper bespoke fireplace service includes:

• An initial consultation with Ian Knapper to discuss your requirements. You may have distinctive detail or characteristics that you would like reflecting in the design of your bespoke fireplace.
• Preparation of design concept drawings of the piece. Ian will provide a number of drawings of possible designs along with a selection of stone samples to choose from.
• Hand craft making of the design using traditional stonemasonry techniques. Ian’s team will then help him bring his vision to life by cutting and shaping the slabs of stone into beautiful pieces to form the surround and hearth. The team work together cohesively on each project ensuring that each section of the bespoke design is produced to the highest standards.
• Full installation of the design. Installation is completed by Ian’s own team of experienced fitters. After the installation is complete a “snagging” visit is arranged. Usually a couple of weeks after the main installation a team returns to clean, seal and give a final inspection of the piece ensuring the perfect finish.
